We would like to wish all players a very Happy New Year.We would also like to welcome our newest members into the Region, Dave,Kath,Paul & Clare Brooks,Lee & Kirsty Lickorish,Vicki & Morgan Chritchley, Jeff & Chris Rand and last but not least Chris Gidlow all are looking forward to playing some compettitive boule from now on. Tony and Richard will now have 2 more Juniors to put through their paces when junior coaching commences on Saturday April 21st at the usual Venue, The Willow, Humberstone Lane, Thurmaston.
The Indoor Grand Prixs at Whittlesey are givng the Region some very well deserved results
The team Triple A - Andy Longstaff, Adam Ball, Andy Watson finished 3rd in the first grand prix and winners in the second.
WVP - Ian Johns, Joe Sheffield, Stone Williams finished 5th in the first, and 3rd in the second.
Spanner, Tony Moulding, Phillipe ( WM )were runners up on the 7/01/07 just losing out to Lee,Angie,Ashley Jamieson former East Mids members.
Our newer junior members brother and sister act Kirsty and Morgan are both putting in very good performances under the guidance of Lee,Paul and Chris Gidlow. Last but not least the Femme Fatales with new member Vicki are now starting to settle down as a team and put in some solid performances. Dave and Jeff are doing what they do best which is to win quietly and be the proverbial fly in the ointment where other teams are concerned. All in all the East Midlands are getting themselves noticed by the sheer numbers taking part at the Indoors, may good fortune follow them all throughout the year both domestic, national and hopefully International level.
Ps Clare we have not forgotten you in this bulletin so tell your partners to get there act together as you will make them look good.
